Out on the ice!
We got to see how our Coast Guard looks after the people they protect. A call came in that they thought someone went through the ice on a snowmobile out on the lake. They dispatched a helicopter crew to comb the ice at about 9:30 at night. It could have been earlier but that is when I first saw the lights and heard the copter. They combed the lake and made a good search. They do take very serious calls they get and rest assure if you are out there they will try and find you. They said that some people do not use good sense and do cross the big lake. I don't know why you would take on the Big Lake when there are so many places to ride but I guess that is the way people are. They do a good job and we appreciate them being there. It is a beautiful morning--we are supposed to get some freezing rain. I hope we end up with a good blanket of snow instead. Have a good morning!
