Big Weekend

This was a big snowmobiling weekend in our town of Paradise. We did not get any new snow but the snow we did have held and our groomers did a great job of keeping the trails good. The town was full. Dennis got a shot of a beautiful sunrise and I got a picture that my friend Ben took of a bunch of sleds on the ice. Have a good week.

Happy Birthday Becca!!

Today is my oldest granddaughter's birthday. She is a pretty, happy, outgoing person. She drives herself to do her best and is very successful doing it. People like her because she is honest and if she thinks you are on the wrong track she will let you know. We are proud of her and look forward to see what she does with her life. Our family jewel box is full and Becca is safely tucked in with all the rest of our family. Love you Becca! Have a great year.

Saturday Stroll

Yesterday Dennis took me to the Falls. It was a good day to be out and about. We can't stand being in the house and it felt good to walk the park. I love to hear the roar of the water falling and watch the root beer colored water. The ice formations on the rock wall are sure pretty. The park was full of people. Snowmobilers, snowshoers, cross country skiers and people like us--just walking around enjoying the beauty of the surroundings and the day. Town is packed. Restaurants, gas stations, hotels-motels full--a good week-end for Paradise and small towns in the Upper. Next week-end is the Mardi Gras de Snow and places are filling up for that. Old Man Winter, please give us some new snow. It is snowing now but we'd like a good storm. Six to twelve inches would be great. Have a good week and be kind to each other.

Happy Birthday Alida!!

Today is Alidas birthday. She is one of my girls by marriage and is a jewel. She works hard, gets her kids into all kinds of fun things and loves my son, Joe. She loves to have a good time, scrap booking, doing things for her family and just being herself. Love you Alida! Have a great year.

Behind

I have been seeing pictures of the snowfalls in Virginia and now in Davisburg. We are way behind. I have a picture of my sister and her husband last year about this time in our driveway and took a picture of Dennis today in the same place. You can see the difference. We want a couple of humdinger snow storms. The coyote was on the ice this morning. He was way out. They like to travel the ice because they feel safe from us humans. Going out to move a little measly 2 inches of snow--hardly seems worth the bother. Have a good day!

Beautiful Day

Today was another great day. It was also another day without snow. It sure seems strange to have so little snow. It seems all the snow is falling south of us. Ann and Rich got over 30 inches in Virginia and another big storm is on the way--hey guys that's should be up here. Davisburg is supposed to get a big dumping and here we sit. The snowmobiling is great but we sure would like to see a ft. of new snow. You can tell from some of my pictures we are behind in our snowfall.

Sights and Animals

Dennis and I went for a ride to the point. It was a beautiful day. We got some more pictures of the coyote. He was so taken with the camera we got 36 to close up pictures. We are moving the camera to try and get some clear pictures. Enjoy the game and relax.

Thanks Joe for sending the clicker for the camera. We are having trouble getting the animals out of the trees but I did get this clear picture. Dennis will reset the camera tomarrow and try to place it so if the animal is in the undergrowth the camera will not go off. What fun. Those animals are very smart and cautious. Got 3 more inches of snow overnight. The day was very pleasant and we got a lot of things done outside. Good night.
